Treasurer Report and March 25 meeting minutes approved by Tis, John, Aaron

Old Business

• Playday great playday, lot of cars and Karts

• Great First Race, power went out due to NVEnergy Transformer, not our fault

• Track Projects-lots going on, light, and moving dirt; still need lots of work done for KoW Sprints

• wireless mic is lost

  New Information

• Sport Mods (Northern and Southern) scheduled to be part of Ironman Challenge series

• Kart track placement, probably be narrowed on front stretch to be moved in at least 10 feet to make possible for water truck to go by. Mud bogs don't care where they run as long as they are able to make 2 bogs

• All volunteers to meet with Chris in Pits at 330 for meeting regarding attitudes,language-use of profanity around kids, and professionalism with customers at track

• Rat mods and 318's honored for track points for 3 years to run with Sport Mod Class

• Mark needs front and back stretches to be measured

• New Lease to be signed with city, we have to meet some new city ordinances at track so adds to track projects to be completed

• continuing work parties on weekends, if you can make some time please spare it and help

• receiver rentals , radios, batteries, and base station to be handled by Chris

• Food comments good but slow due to long wait on fries

• transformer breaker went out in pits on April 6 race-not our fault

• Bryan needs to call Greene/Spring Valley Rentals for light plant for kart track for next race

• bathroom handicapped stalls to be completed, possibility of a need for more speakers in future for turns 3 & 4, doors for walk in locker to be completed

• Robbie did good job in Flagstand for first race

• announcer stated he had problems with racers not turning in profiles, suggested going into pits to find out, Chris is not going to track down and make racers to get sponsor information

Meeting Minutes

Treasurer Report and March 11 meeting minutes approved

Old Business

• Playday March 30 from 10am to 4pm, $10 per driver, free for all others
• Karts can run playday if wanted

• Track projects-blade finished, stick shift for water truck should be done Tuesday, almost all power ran to poles, Kandy shack has been moved, Conex moved to where Kandy shack was

New Information

• Schedules are being printed

• Tickets are being printed

• Rule books are done, Kart rules will be in back of class rules

• Need to find wireless microphone for announcer

• Sport Mods are running in Ironman Challenge on July 3 & 4

• List of volunteers for Karts and Track

• Spoke in depth about a Poker Run, need to have 4 to 5 spots with personnel there to hand out cards for bikers to pick up. Prizes-best hand? Worst hand? Admission free that night with stamped sheet.

Old Information:

• Approved by board members to run mod mini's at track this season

• light poles, blocks need to be done before racing can begin

• All blocks at Hiskets are picked up

• need to see if Sherwin Williams will donate 55 gallons of paint for blocks

• Blocks can no longer be more than 2 high

• need fencing still

• Need 8 inch flange

February 25, 2013 Meeting Minutes

Old Information:

• Anthony hauling dirt

• Kart helmets DOT/Snell 2000 or better

• Kart restrictor plates will be at discretion of track personnel

• Table claim discusson for karts

• Tabled whistler

Work Party Information

• moved lots of dirt to make room for bleachers, and put in turns 3&4 to put back up blocks

• moving bleachers from Top Gun

• moving block from Hisketts

• need approximately 55 gallons of paint to wall blocks when its warmer

• need chain link fencing approximately 300 feet

• moving Kandy Shack by end of announcer booth near restrooms

• moving Conex to where kandy shack was and it will have walk in cooler, beer booth, and novelty items for sale

Other information

• Post poll on board to gauge interest in car show/swap meet with classes, karts, and mud bogs

• working with tourism board for 4^th of July participation

• Appreciation nights for attendance at races-American Hero Night (Government employees) on Friday May 10. still have other nights open for sponsoring or employee nights

• Next meeting scheduled for March 11, 630pm

• Local motorcycle club wants to have poker run,start at track can we give tickets for race

February 11, 2013 Meeting Minutes

Called to Order at 6:26pm  by Eddie, VP

Went over meeting minutes from last meeting

• Motion to approve to remove Glenn Lee from LARA bank account, approved by all

Karts:

• Kart track to be moved to center of track in shape of paper clip to allow mud bogs to run on either side of kart track-motion approved by Tis, Aaron B, Aaron D, and Mark
• Ron to make original kart track then will be maintained by RSR

• Anthony found clay for kart track just need to move it

• Restrictor plates for karts will be serialized by track, karts will be teched throughout year, if there are any modifications or changes violaters will be charged $250 and possibility of loss of points for entire season, motioned and approved by all board members

• Karts will start being teched for safety by John at tech pad

• Kids in karts must have all safety gear-racesuit, gloves, wrist restraints, race shoes, and helmets

• Karts will be involved in drivers meeting at techpad

• Hay bales will be placed in front of spectators in the infield during Kart Races and will be removed by Karts each race.

Work Party Information

• Removed wall in turns 3 & 4, removed cones, hay bales, and some rock debris from infield

• Chris developing plan to move bleachers from Top Gun

• Chris will be at track Saturday February 16, 2013 to start moving lights and poles from infield, Shawn will be working on catch fence, Eddie will be at track Sunday 17th

• Power lines to be ripped up from infield

• Plan on putting one light in middle of kart track to light infield and add power receptacle?

• Blade should be completed in approximately 2 weeks

• Need paint to pain wall blocks, maybe in checkerboard pattern

• Need chain link fencing and poles to raise catch fence around track-Shawn is working on

Other information

• Would like to see car show/swap meet pre-season with all classes, karts,and mud bogs participating

• Would like track to be involved in 4^th of July parade

• Work Party scheduled for weekends until race season to complete projects

• Next Meeting scheduled for February 25 at 6:30pm
